Here’s how you do it and earn those sweepstakes entries

For an Avon Representative in the United States who is in good standing to be eligible to enter this sweepstakes and earn your first entry, all you need to do is one of two things: either attend one of the upcoming Drive Like a Boss training workshops OR complete all Avon University online training courses that are available during the incentive period. (All classes must be completed by December 4, 2017.)


Avon U is actually currently getting an awesome makeover and the new setup will be unveiled this Fall. I’m personally excited about it! Anyway, Avon U and any workshops Avon brings us are all part of our free Representative training that is designed to help us build our Avon business! It’s a win-win, really, because we get to learn more about our business and earn entries at the same time!


You can earn up 11 entries in all regardless of how they’re earned and since this incentive runs C20-C25, 2017 (September 6 – December 4, 2017), you have SIX campaigns to earn them! The other 10 entries will be earned through sales and team building.


Get Entries for Customer Sales…

For each Campaign when you increase your sales over the same Campaign from last year by at least $100. Your current sales must be at least $300, so $300 or $100+, whichever is higher. Each Campaign is independent of each other, meaning you don’t have to get all of them for your sales increase to count in a Campaign!

If you are a new Representative, don’t worry… your minimum sales goal will automatically be $300 to qualify in this area.


Get Entries for Team Building…

You will get one entry for each Qualified New Recruit! Of course, that’s only until you meet the maximum number of entries allowed per Avon Rep. New Recruit qualifies when they place a $150 order in their 1st or 2nd Campaign AND pays for it on time (by Campaign closing).

Both Avon Leads who sign up (if you qualify to receive leads from Avon) and those who sign up that you get on your own will all be able to count towards this incentive for your entries. Since this incentive ends in Campaign 25, recruits must qualify before Campaign 25 closing to count. So, if they come in in Campaign 25, they must qualify in Campaign 25 to count.


The Drawings

The drawings for the cars will happen on or around December 12, 2017 and winners will be notified by New Year’s Eve!

How Much Does It Cost to Sell Avon


As with any business, there are some costs to selling Avon, but it’s not as much as you might think!


I believe everyone should have as much information as they can get to be able make an informed decision and that includes being up front about the costs with anyone who is interested in selling Avon. I will do my best to cover that here!


Avon is one of the lowest (if not *the* lowest) start-ups in direct sales. Avon Reps have a free website we can sell from 24/7. We have access to free training on our Representative website and at sales meetings. We don’t have to order every campaign. As long as your order is at least $50 before taxes & shipping, you earn money. There are no quotas to make or inventory to keep.


You will be responsible for paying for your starter kit, brochures, rep order shipping, and other business tools such as samples and product delivery bags.



Starter Kits

There are three starter kits to choose from and each is shipped to you for free. While you can purchase whichever one you want, each is designed to help you depending on what your goals are. The Quick Starter is $25, the Advanced is $50, and the Premium is $100.

Avon Brochures are our store. You don’t have to buy any, but without them, your store is essentially closed. Brochures are bought in packs of 10 in your choice of English or Spanish. You can certainly buy 1 pack of each if you want or need to. The cost of brochures depends on how many packs of 10 you buy and the more you buy, the less each brochure costs.


They currently start out at about $6.50 for the first pack. You can also order mark. magalogs, Avon Living magalogs, Outlet brochures, and other seasonal brochures all by packs of 5 or 10. It’s okay to start out with what you can afford. Just try to increase a little each campaign. (Avon adjusts the costs of brochures once every 2 or 3 years, so the amount seen above may no longer be accurate.)




Another thing we as Avon Reps pay for is the shipping for our bulk orders. Our shipping cost doesn’t depend on how many boxes there are or how much the order weighs – just on whether or not it is a late order or an additional order, meaning you are ordering past your Representative order due date or you have already placed a campaign order and then go back and place a second order.


For on-time orders up to $399.99, shipping is $6. If your order is late or an additional order, shipping is $10. For all on-time orders of $400 and up, shipping is $9. If that order is either an additional or late order, shipping is $13.


Each time you place an order, shipping will be charged so make sure everything you need is in that regular order. Also, if you are ordering only brochures and/or other sales tools such as samples or product delivery bags, you can call Avon customer service and may get the shipping cost waived.



Demos, Samples, and other Sales Tools

Samples are another staple of an Avon business and are strongly recommended because they give your customers a way to try certain products before they buy. Avon has many samples at a nominal cost, so you. For example, most of our perfume/cologne samples are $1.25 for a pack of 12.


Demos definitely aren’t a must. However, demos are full-size products and give an added experience for the customer, since they get to also see & handle the product packaging such as the pretty perfume bottle. There’s an exclusive Avon Reps catalog we can buy demos from for an even bigger discount than if we buy from the brochure at whatever order level we’re at that campaign.


Don’t go overboard and try to buy all the samples and demos you see! Just like the brochures, it’s okay to start out buying what you can afford while working up a little more when you can!



Tip: You can use full-size products to create samples that aren’t available through Avon!



Other sales tools you will be responsible for yourself are your product delivery bags and clear literature bags you may find you want.

Other things you might want to invest in to help your business are tools like business cards. You can get deals on business cards at affordable prices and are a good investment to start with. Other things you can work up to are maybe a name badge, customized shirt, or even signage. None of these are a must to start out with. They can wait unless & until you have the funds to spend on them without sacrificing the business tools you DO need, like brochures!

It’s normal for those interested in becoming a direct sales representative to have questions about what it is like to be with that company. This is a list of 15 commonly asked questions about becoming and being an Avon Representative. Click here to join Avon now.

1. How much does it cost to get started? When enrolling, you will have a choice of 3 starter kits and each is designed to help you accomplish the goals you have. It costs just $25 to join Avon and there kit upgrades available at the time of enrollment.


2. What materials will I receive when I sign up? With the $25 starter kit, you will receive 44 Avon brochures & magalogs, 4 full-size products, and 10 samples, and sales tools. If you choose to upgrade to the $50 or $100 starter kits, you will more products and samples. The $100 starter kit also includes more brochures & magalogs. Of course, you will also receive sales training.


3. What is a selling campaign? One selling campaign is the two-week period during which a customer can order and there are 26 Campaigns. Your award sales accumulate all year Campaign to Campaign.


4. How much can I make selling Avon? You earn 40% commission on beauty products in your orders for your first 7 campaigns when you meet your New Rep Sales Goals. After that initial introduction period, you’ll earn on the regular 20%-40% commission scale, depending on your order amount. Avon’s new representative program is updated once or twice a year and includes different benefits. If and when you reach President’s Club, you will then earn 40%-50% on all sales for the rest of that sales cycle and for the whole next sales cycle.


5. Do I have to keep products on hand? With Avon, you’re never required to keep product inventory. Although many find it beneficial to keep some on hand.


6. How often do I place an order? Representative regular order dates are once every two weeks, according to your zip code. Additional orders are okay but will acquire additional shipping. Your Rep account will still remain active with no orders for 4 Campaigns but then you won’t have brochures. Any eStore sales you receive will keep your account active, even if you are unable to make an order from your back office (rep account site).


7. How long does it take to receive my order once its placed? Generally, you’ll receive your order within 2-3 business days after the order is submitted. Avon Representatives can track our order shipments through the My Orders page on our Rep websites.


8. How do I receive future brochures? After receiving your starter kit, you will be responsible for ordering your books. Every two weeks, when you place a product order, you need to also purchase your future brochures. We buy the brochures two campaigns ahead, so if you’re in Campaign 15, you’ll be buying Campaign 17. If you missed your last regular order, you can backorder brochures to cover the campaign order you missed.


9. Do I have to pay for shipping, or do my customers pay a shipping fee? As long as you place your order on-time, you will pay one shipping fee regardless of number of boxes or weight. If you place more than one order per campaign, you will pay additional shipping for the extra order. If you order only selling tools such as brochures, you can call the Avon Representative customer service and the shipping fee may be waived. You also have the option of charging your customers a nominal fee which will help you cover your shipping. Some reps charge, $0.75, some $1,50, some anything in-between or nothing at all.


10. How do I pay for my order? You can pay by check, money order, credit card, or enroll online in our “one-click” payment system Avon QuickPay which takes the payment directly from your checking account. Please note that paying via check or money order will take much longer than by credit card or QuickPay.


11. Am I required to attend meetings? No, meeting attendance is not required but they can assist you in making connections and building your business.


12. Do I have to have parties? You can if you want to, but no, you’re not required to have any parties. Many Avon Reps choose to have parties. It is all about how you choose to manage your business.


13. Will I be restricted to a territory? No, Avon USA Representatives do not have territories, can sell to anyone within the United States, and with the internet, selling Avon is easier than ever.


14. What happens after I sign up? Soon after you sign up, you will receive a welcome email and a phone call from me. We can set up a time for a meeting to coach you through the following steps. You will need to go to www.youravon.com to register your representative account. After that, you can then sign in, opt-in as an e-representative, place your first order, begin the online training provided by Avon, and customize your website to sell products online, and choose other ways to manage your business. I’ll be available to answer questions you may have.


15. How do I sign up? Sign up is an easy and secure online process that takes about 5 minutes to complete. You will need to sign up online at BossLifeForMe.com, where you will be prompted for your name and information. You should be able to register your brand new Avon Representative account online within approximately 24 hours. To register your Rep account, you’ll need your Representative account number and District number, which will be included in your initial email from Avon upon joining.
