Why Your Purchase of AVON Foundation Products Matter

Why your purchase of Avon Foundation Products matters.

When you purchase an Avon Foundation product, it supports one of Avon’s three programs to assist women.

When you buy a fund-raising product, such as the Breast Cancer Crusade Tennis Bracelet for $5, the Empowerment Charm Necklace for $5 (or any of the other fundraising products), 100% of the net proceeds are donated to the Avon Foundation for Women’s programs working to end breast cancer and domestic violence. Pink product sales benefit the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade for research and access to care for all. Empowerment and M.powerment  sales benefit the Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program to end domestic violence.

Today, early detection of breast cancer can improve 5-year survival rates to better than 95%. Know your body, and see your doctor if you see even a small change. Ask what age you should start and how often you should get a mammography screening, and encourage all the women in your life to do the same. Today, Avon and the Avon Foundation have contributed more than $800 million toward breast cancer care and research.

The infinity symbol in Avon’s empowerment products represents lives with unlimited potential when free from violence. “One in three women worldwide will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime. At Avon, we are committed to empowering women. The Avon Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program has committed nearly $60 million, in over 50 countries, to organizations and programs focused on awareness, education, direct services and prevention programs to help end the cycle of domestic and gender violence.”

As global corporate citizens, Avon Products, Inc. and the Avon Foundation for Women together respond quickly to national and international emergencies. Since 2001, more than $19 million has been awarded for women and their families affected by natural disasters or crises.

Side note: I first wrote this piece as a note on my Facebook Page 4 years ago. At the time, Speak Out had committed nearly $50 million and the natural disaster grants was over $17 million. I was updating & trying to declutter my Page and thought, duh, great blog piece right here! I thought that was so cool to come across this and wanted to share that with you!
